My Achievement Story in Brief
Early experiences that motivated me and experiences that led to choosing this career: In my early life there was not a lot of positive communication regarding therapy or the mental health field in my environment. However, when a family member needed mental health assistance the language began to change. These changes in communication sparked my interest in learning about why there was a negative stigma regarding mental health. This interest, a desire to help others, much prayer, and a change of major led me to choosing this career. Furthermore, through the challenges I have faced I am blessed to have chosen this path.

The Biggest Challenges Students Face in preparing for my career:
- Creating a healthy work life balance to avoid burnout.
- Keeping track of the hours requirements.
- Issues with making sure that you are meeting all of the licensing requirements in a timely manner.
